>> good morning. many of you waking up to a little bit of snow on the ground. something to watch out for if you plan to head out this morning maybe to do any super bowl preparations. snow moved through the area late last night. it is now moving off the coast. you can see it leaving the southern part of maryland. look what's happening to the west. light patches of snow developed across northern virginia appearing west of frederick as well. you can see a little bit of snow near pittsburgh to southwest pennsylvania. we are not done with it just yet. we have a series of storms the next couple days keeping snow chances in place. live view of what's happening here. they call these clippers. they develop in canada and skirt down to the south and swing off the coast. they move so fast and have so little moisture with them they can't produce a whole lot of

snow. we are not talking about any blockbuster storms just recent storms enough to cause travel concerns. on the radar you can see those continue to dive south across the ohio river valley and slide up toward the mid atlantic. here's the next bullseye of snow. we have 21 degrees at the airport. 19 right now in herringsto hagu. the roads could be icy. they treated a lot of the main roads but do be careful as you head out this morning. watch for patches of ice even if the road is wet it could be slippery at times. temperatures in the mid 30s. it should be above the freezing mark and that should help the melting as well. snow through the afternoon and evening hours but it will be very light in nature. we are not expecting much in accumulation just a coating up

to about an inch in some spots. something to watch out for if you are heading to a super bowl party. roads could be messy out there. temperatures dropping down into the low 20s and upper teens. let's day dream a little bit. you can see this mild air along the gulf coast. everyone else chilly. 35 in atlanta. it's in the 50s from houston to new orleans. they are waking up to mostly cloudy skies and pretty pleasant temperatures. 62 degrees with sunshine. they play in a dome so the weather doesn't matter there. for everyone out and about celebrating the game they have great weather. 7-day forecast: >> ravens fans are pulling out

dobson led numerous boycotts in protests but also the maryland food bank. yesterday memorial service was held inside saint mark's institutional baptist church. reverend dobson was 89 years old. >> homicide detectives are investigating a triple shooting that left one man dead. it happened around 3:30 saturday morning. officers were called to the 3400 block on reports of a shooting. three men all suffering gun shot wounds. we are told one of the men died of his injuries the other two remain in the hospital. a fire in west baltimore sent one person to shock trauma. kierdling to a fire department it happened in the rouge home n in -- row home in the 1300 block. crews rescued the unidentified victim from the second floor. one firefighter had to be treated for minor burns. a leftist militant group in

small storm system snow systems that build into western canada and dive down into the united states. they are very cold and lack moisture. they don't produce a whole lot of snow. they are quick moving and don't accumulate much either. it is going to swing back up to the north and mid atlantic. that is what is going to bring our potential for snow once again later tonight. we are expecting mostly cloudy skies through out the day. ice on the roads this morning temperatures in the mid 30s this afternoon. light snow possible this afternoon and especially into the evening hours. we are expecting light accumulations. on the roads this evening if you are traveling back to the super bowl party it could be a little slippery with light accumulations possible. low 20s overall for the nighttime temperatures. the next one coming in through the nighttime hours it shows a very minimal amount after dark around baltimore. most of the snow happens in westerly maryland then we get a

break to monday night. this one could bring a little more snow to the area. we will be talking about accumulations again late into monday night. that brings light accumulations as well. by thursday sunshine. we warm into the 40s by the enof the week. that could bring rain on friday. >> nothing better than being a ravens country this week unless you are a san francisco 49ers fan. a teenager wears a 49ers in the city high school. >> it's not all that difficult to pick marriott ridge high school studio kathy out of a group. especially this week. she is the one in the san francisco 49ers sweatshirt surrounded by all of the ravens fans. >> i get teased every now and then. it's kind of cool being the only 9ers fan.

i decided to come home for the super bowl. obviously the ravens would be in it. >> she scheduled her two-week vacation around the super bowl. she and david bought tickets and they are happy to spend their short time together at the game. >> what a great opportunity. this is the first one that we are going to. this is one of those bucket list items as well. >> and ray lewis' last game. could be mat burke and some of our senior veterans and two harbaughs playing against each other. it is the perfect scenario of a game to go to. >> when you look at their basement it is not hard to see how dedicated the fans are. melissa watched the games in the middle of the night while in afghanistan wrapped in her lucky purple garb which is coming to new orleans. they were both overseas last time they went to the super bowl so they are thrilled to be there in person this time. >> it just really going to be something to remember no matter

institutional baptist church. reverend dobson was 89 years old. >> homicide detectives are investigating a triple shooting that left one man dead. it happened around 3:30 saturday morning. officers were called to the 3400 block for reports of a shooting. there they discovered three men all suffering from gun shot wounds. we are told one of the men died of his injuries the other two remain in the hospital. a home fire investigation sent one person to shock trauma. according to the baltimore city fire department it happened in the rouge home of 1300 block of west pratt street around 12:30 yesterday afternoon. crews rescued the unidentified victim from the second floor. one firefighter had to be treated for minor burns. a group in turkey claimed responsibility for the suicide bomb on the u.s. embassy. a government terrorist expert confirmed the authenticity of the claim. turkish officials say they have made three arrests and are searching for people who may

is give a quick burst of snow. there will be a couple more s p clippers moving our way. including later this afternoon. potential for more light snow. you can see that showing up on the radar picture with more light snow pushing out toward the east. something to keep in mind if you are traveling out this morning maybe getting last minute food for the super bowl party. the roads could be icy just before tfrom the snow last night. move into the mid 30s. melting on the roads and we have another potential for light snow this afternoon and this evening. very minimal accumulations but as i mentioned the roads could be ify at times. we are expecting snow to clear out or late tonight. drop back into the late 20s for overnight hours. watch for icy spots on the road. storm system coming through tonight and another one into monday night and again into tuesday night as well. there's a pattern to these storms. they come every 24-hours.

frederick. 21 degrees in park ton. we have to wait for a little more snow. temperatures are chilly up to the north. dropped down into the single digits through minneapolis. we are in the southern fringe of this. new orleans are 51 degrees beautiful start to the day there. it will be gorgeous even into the afternoon. for all of our fans and reporters as well looking for great weather today. mostly sunny skies. temperatures 62 degrees in the big easy. light winds today great weather for fans to be out and about. we will be under a dome so weather won't be a problem whatsoever. looking at the current weather pattern we have antarctic front through the region. a couple quick clipper systems are moving our way with a few more coming up through the next couple days.

including later this afternoon and through the evening hours. starting off today mostly cloudy through the afternoon. something people have to keep in mind if they plan to travel today. mid 30s this afternoon. at least it does get above the freezing mark. we drop back to below freezing tonight. down into the 20s the overnight lows. light snow possible through the evening hours. minor accumulations possible but you have to take it easy if you encounter snow. i am going to put the future cast in motion to see what's happening here. minimal chances of snow showers in baltimore. another clipper system comes our way going into tomorrow night. that's what you see here even into tuesday night. another clipper could bring light snow. the trend is each and every day we have light chance for snow. could cause a problem on the road each and every morning.

minor accumulations are possible. then into the 40s by the end of the week. i think it has a way of putting people together. new orleans and the ravens are in the super bowl. it adds up to something special for two diehard fans. here comes the bride dressed up in purple. her and her husband jim were waiting for the ravens to get back to the super bowl to exchange vows. they had their first date at a super bowl party 12 years ago. >> the ye12 year wait was long. for me being a woman we always dream of our wedding when we are little kids. people kept saying when are you going to get married? you have got to wait. come on ravens get back to the super bowl.

teens to upper 20s and a few low 30s as you get towards salisbury. between the freezing mark there will be icy spots. on this fringe of cold arctic air mass keeping 38 in dallas. there's the cold front right there. you can see how houston is 52. new orleans 52 degrees. we have a lot of our team covering the super bowl right now. a lot of fans are down there as well. they will have a lot of sunshine with light winds and temperatures in new orleans. 62 degrees. the game is played in the dome the weather won't be a factor whatsoever. they are quick moving they don't have a lot of snow but they will bring the potential of snow.
